Academic & Infrastructure Requirements
The stringent standards of the Swiss academic tradition demand environments conducive to profound intellectual and practical growth.
The Standard of Excellence
A Commitment to Quality Without Compromise
The World Education Quality Services Council (WEQSC) does not grant affiliations lightly. We view our affiliated schools as extensions of our Geneva headquarters. Consequently, applicant institutions must demonstrate a steadfast commitment to high-quality infrastructure, highly qualified pedagogical staff, and robust administrative protocols before a charter is granted.
Faculty Qualifications
A minimum of 80% of teaching staff must hold a recognized Bachelor's degree in their subject of instruction, supplemented by a formal pedagogical qualification.
Laboratory Infrastructure
Schools offering advanced sciences must maintain fully equipped, safety-certified laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Digital Readiness
Institutions must possess a dedicated computer lab with broadband internet access to facilitate digital literacy and secure online examination components.
Library & Resource Centers
A well-curated physical or digital library is mandatory, providing students with access to peer-reviewed academic materials, classical literature, and reference texts.
Deep Dive: The Audit Matrix
During the formal accreditation process, our visiting tribunal will evaluate your institution across four primary domains, known collectively as the Geneva Audit Matrix:
1. Pedagogical Efficacy & Curriculum Delivery
The tribunal will assess how effectively the school has localized the WISE curriculum framework. This includes reviewing lesson plans, observing classroom instruction, and evaluating the integration of formative and summative assessments. We specifically look for the Swiss dual-track approach—ensuring that theoretical concepts are paired with practical, real-world problem solving.
2. Physical Infrastructure & Student Safety
A school must be a safe sanctuary for learning. The audit requires proof of structural integrity, fire safety compliance, and adequate sanitation facilities. Classrooms must be appropriately ventilated, well-lit, and sized to ensure a student-to-teacher ratio that does not exceed 30:1 in primary and secondary levels.
3. Administrative Governance & Financial Health
Sustainable quality education requires strong governance. The institution must provide its articles of incorporation, proof of legal standing in the host country, and evidence of financial stability. The school's leadership must demonstrate a clear, long-term strategic vision aligned with the WEQSC's global mandates.
4. Inclusive Education & Equity
In alignment with UN SDG 4, affiliated schools must demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education. The tribunal will review policies pertaining to non-discrimination, special educational needs (SEN) support mechanisms, and gender equity in both student enrollment and faculty hiring.
Provisional Affiliation
Institutions that meet the core pedagogical requirements but present minor infrastructural deficiencies may be granted a 'Provisional Affiliation' for a period of 12 months, during which they must rectify the identified issues to secure their full 5-year charter.
