Data Protection Policy
Safeguarding academic and personal data under strict Swiss FADP and EU GDPR standards.
Privacy by Design
Uncompromising Data Security
The World Education Quality Services Council (WEQSC) recognizes that academic records are among the most sensitive data an individual possesses. We are committed to protecting your privacy in strict accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our digital ecosystem is engineered from the ground up to ensure data immutability, confidentiality, and sovereign control.
Swiss FADP Compliance
All personal and academic data is processed under the jurisdiction of the stringent Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, ensuring maximum privacy rights.
Blockchain Registry
Final academic transcripts are cryptographically hashed and stored on a decentralized ledger to prevent tampering while preserving anonymity.
Biometric Security
During online AI-proctored examinations, biometric telemetry is strictly compartmentalized, encrypted, and routinely purged post-audit.
Data Processing Protocol
1. Categorization of Collected Data
To administer the globally distributed WISE examinations, we process highly specific data sets:
- Academic Core Data: Continuous assessment scores, final examination results, examiner feedback, and credential metadata.
- Verification Identity Data: Government-issued ID numbers, full legal names, and facial telemetry (used strictly for AI proctoring identity verification).
- Institutional Telemetry: Audit logs, IP addresses, and digital footprints of school administrators utilizing the Affiliation Portals.
2. Authorized Data Sharing and Sovereign Transfer
Academic data is treated as sovereign intellectual property of the student. WEQSC does not sell, lease, or monetize data. Data transfers occur exclusively under the following strict conditions:
- Explicit Consent: Transcripts are transferred to universities or employers only upon the explicit, cryptographic authorization of the student.
- Statutory Reporting: Aggregate, anonymized performance metrics may be shared with the Ministry of Education of Belize to validate national curriculum standards.
- Zero-Knowledge Processors: We employ enterprise infrastructure providers (such as Supabase) operating under strict Zero-Knowledge agreements, meaning they host the encrypted data but cannot read the contents.
3. Data Retention Lifecycle
WEQSC balances the need for lifelong academic verification against the principles of data minimization. Core academic records (grades, certificates) are retained indefinitely in our immutable registry to allow alumni to verify their credentials decades into the future. However, volatile operational data—such as AI proctoring video feeds, temporary IP logs, and biometric verification hashes—are automatically purged from our servers 90 days after the examination results are finalized and any appeals processes are concluded.
4. Your Statutory Privacy Rights
Under the jurisdiction of the FADP and GDPR, every user within the WISE ecosystem retains fundamental rights over their digital footprint. You have the right to request a full cryptographic export of your personal data, demand the correction of administrative inaccuracies, and request the restriction of processing. Please note that invoking the "Right to be Forgotten" will result in the permanent, irreversible destruction of your academic credentials, rendering them unverifiable by future employers or academic institutions.
