Examination Calendar

Overview

The WISE Examination Calendar is published annually by the Secretariat and sets out the dates and deadlines that govern the conduct of examinations in each academic session.

The calendar is published not less than ninety days before the first examination date, and is communicated to all accredited schools through the Institution Management Portal.

Contents of the Calendar

The Examination Calendar includes:

• The dates of the WISE Scholarship Examination (where applicable);
• The dates of the WISE Examination for each qualification level;
• The deadlines for examination registration;
• The deadlines for Internal Assessment submission;
• The deadlines for Bonus Marks claims;
• The deadlines for special examination arrangement applications;
• The dates for release of results;
• The dates for issuance of credentials.

The following deadlines apply in each academic session:

Examination Sessions

The WISE Examination is ordinarily conducted once per academic session. Where a candidate is unable to sit the examination in a given session on medical or compassionate grounds, the school may apply to WEQSC for the candidate to sit a deferred sitting. Application must be made within thirty days of the original examination date and must be supported by documentation.

Conclusion

The Examination Calendar is the operational instrument through which the examination system of WEQSC is administered. All calendar procedures not expressly set out in this portal must follow the Secretariat's official bylaws.
