Certificate Verification

Verify a WISE Credential

Public Verification Service

The WISE Credential Verification Service is operated by the Secretariat at

/examinations/verify
. It is accessible without registration, without charge, and without any requirement that the enquirer identify themselves.

How to Verify

A verification enquiry may be made by:

  • Scanning the QR code on the certificate;
  • Manual entry of the credential reference.

Verification Statuses

The service returns one of four statuses:

  • Genuine — The credential was issued by WEQSC and has not been cancelled. This does not express any opinion on the merits of the candidate's achievement;
  • Cancelled — The credential has been withdrawn following a proven Examination Irregularity;
  • Under Review — An enquiry into the credential is ongoing; the credential should not be relied upon until the status is resolved;
  • Not Found — No credential matching the reference exists in the register.

Permanent Availability

The verification service remains available indefinitely, and independently of the status of the issuing school. A WISE credential remains verifiable notwithstanding the suspension, termination, or closure of the school that issued it.

School Accreditation Verification

Any third party may confirm the current status of an accreditation by reference to the school's accreditation reference number at

/examinations/verify
.

Security

WISE credentials are secured with immutable cryptographic NTAG verification, ensuring that the credential cannot be altered after issuance and can be verified instantly and permanently by any third party.

Bulk Verification

Universities and employers may verify multiple credentials programmatically through the Bulk Verification API. Details are available through the Secretariat.

Conclusion

The WISE Credential Verification Service is the instrument through which the authenticity of WISE credentials is confirmed. All verification procedures not expressly set out in this portal must follow the Secretariat's official bylaws.
