Renewal and Continuous Affiliation

Renewal

An accredited school's accreditation subsists for the accreditation cycle and is subject to renewal.

An application for renewal must be submitted through the Portal not less than one hundred and eighty days before the expiry of the current cycle.

The renewal application is assessed on the basis of:

• The school's compliance record during the cycle;
• The school's current infrastructure, staffing, governance, and financial position;
• Any audit findings and their remediation;
• The school's payment record.

Continuous Affiliation

Continuous Affiliation is a status available to schools of sustained excellence, removing the requirement for periodic renewal while retaining annual audit.

A school is eligible for Continuous Affiliation where it has:

• Completed at least two full accreditation cycles;
• Not been subject to a Critical or Major Finding at any annual audit in the preceding two cycles;
• Paid all fees due to WEQSC on or before the due date;
• Met the data quality standard of one hundred per cent in the annual data audit;
• Not been subject to any Suspension or Provisional Accreditation;
• Not submitted any fraudulent bonus marks claim, elite support tier application, or scholarship claim.

Continuous Affiliation is granted by the Accreditation Committee on application. It may be withdrawn where the school ceases to satisfy the conditions of eligibility.

Performance-Based Renewal Discount

A school that completes an accreditation cycle with a perfect compliance record is entitled to a discount of five per cent on the renewal fees payable at the next renewal, as set out in the Financial Framework.

A perfect compliance record means that, in respect of the accreditation cycle just completed:

• The school has not been subject to a Critical or Major Finding at any annual audit;
• The school has paid all fees due to WEQSC on or before the due date;
• The school has met the data quality standard of one hundred per cent in the annual data audit;
• The school has not been subject to any Suspension or Provisional Accreditation;
• The school has not submitted any fraudulent bonus marks claim, elite support tier application, or scholarship claim.

The discount is applied automatically upon renewal, on the basis of WEQSC's own records.

Conclusion

Renewal and Continuous Affiliation are the mechanisms through which a school of sustained excellence may maintain its accreditation status with minimal administrative burden. All renewal procedures not expressly set out in this portal must follow the Secretariat's official bylaws.
